Glee

This is such a happy painting showing my glee (through this doggie) about finishing #75 for my upcoming show featuring 100 Faces with Character in August.  I will keep you posted closer to the date!

David, my older brother's birthday would of been today - Flag Day.  So while thinking about my precious moments growing up with him, I painted the above painting of his granddaughter - June blowing out her birthday candle several years ago.  He would of had a blast with Junie Maroony!

Road Trip

"Road Trip"

Over Memorial Day weekend my husband and I took a little road trip through the back roads to the sleepy little town of Crockett.  There was an abstract figurative show at the Epperson Gallery that I had been wanting to see. While the show was amazing, just around the corner there was a little bonus for me.  Luckily I had brought my camera and caught this vintage Airstream & ancient truck parked a few blocks away!

I loved painting all of the reflective surfaces on both vehicles. The painting just flew out of my brushes. It's so much fun when that happens!
